How to Rotate Support Symbols in OpenPlant Isometrics Manager

In OpenPlant Isometrics Manager, to rotate supports symbol as per requirement.

Background

In OpenPlant Isometrics Manager, user wanted to rotate support orthogonally as per their project requirement. This can be achieved by editing isometric value map custom attribute inside schema through class editor. Below are the steps to illustrate the issue. Also see below image showing default orientation.

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Launch OpenPlant Project Administrator.
  2. Select working project > Tools > Class Editor.



  3. In Class Editor, open “OpenPlant_3D.01.07.ecschema” & Supplement it with below schemas
    “OpenPlant_3D_Supplemental_Isometrics_Isoextractor.01.07.ecschema”
    “OpenPlant_3D_Supplemental_Modeling.01.07.ecschema”.

  4. Navigate to TEE_SHOE class. From Class tab, go to Isometric value map. Notice default value.



  5. Change its value to SUPP_SHOE@90. See image below.



  6. Save & Close schema.
  7. Launch OpenPlant Modeler.
  8. Generate isometrics and verify results. See image below.
