How to Create Special Stamps using Detail Sketches in OpenPlant Isometrics Manager

Overview

User is using some components for which special information like Stamp informing about those components should be added in generated isometrics model. Whole this process should be automated and if drawing contains those special components, then required stamps always should be placed in Isometrics.

Steps to Accomplish

In below steps we will try to explain how to create special stamp for Stud Bolts by using cells from detail_sketch.cell file

1. Open required Projects Style Cell folder directly by going to this path
   [...project...]\Config\OpenPlant\Isometrics\styles\[...style...]\cell
   
   or open Bentley Project Administrator, select in OpenPlant Isometrics settings Create/Modify button
   
   
   
   from OpenPlant Isometrics Manager Configuration dialog Advanced tab Select Explore Style Button
   
   
   
   
2. Go to Cell directory and open detail_sketch.cel file in OpenPlant Isometrics Manger
   
   
   
   
3. Select File>Models and in opened Models dialog copy existing Sample Detail Sketch model
   
   
   
   Create your own Stamp and save the file.
   .
   
   
4. Open BOLT table in Required specification and in Design view add new column DETAIL.
   
   
   
   
5. Open BOLT table again and filter required STUD BOLTS of 1-1/4 and smaller main size.
   
   
6. In DETAIL Colum, for each component record add required Model name which was created as Stamp in detail_sketch.cel file
   
   
   
   
7. Save all changes, close files and check Stamps on generated Isometrics model.
   
   
   
   
8. If Detail Sketch labels are not required, than they can be disabled in User Labels in Isometrics Configuration dialog.
   
   
   
   
   
   

Same procedure can be fallowed for any other required stamp. All stamps will be always placed on same locations and if there will be models with several Stamps, then all those will be listed one by one from right to left side.
