How to Get Isoextractor Menu in order to Edit Generated Isometrics for AutoPLANT

Background

Using AutoPLANT Modeler-OpenPlant Isometrics Manager when isometric drawings has been generated in working folder, user need to have an Isoextractor menu, so it could be easier to modify the components and need not have to launch OpenPlant Isometrics Manager interface. Using the batch file described and attached below, user will be able to load ISOExtractor tool by dragging file to it.

LICENSE CONSUMPTION

This will need a separate license for OpenPlant Isometrics Manager. It does not work with AutoPLANT Modeler License. In case there is no separate license for OpenPlant Isometrics Manager, then it can be used with an additional cost of license.

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Download .BAT file from here communities.bentley.com/.../AP_5F00_OPIM_5F00_IFC.zip.
  2. Copy it to a location and rename it with .BAT extension.
  3. Open file for Editing, through context menu, which appears using right click mouse.
  4. Set Project Root as mentioned below for default project here.
    set PROJROOT=C:\ProgramData\Bentley\Plant V8i\Bentley Plant V8i Projects\SAMPLE_METRIC/
  5. Set Style as desired, Say IFC here. See image below.
  6. Save & Close file. 
    Note –Similarly user can generate multiple batch file as per project location and Styles as desired.
  7. Navigate to folder where isometrics drawings gets generated.
  8. Select the isometrics and drag the DGN file from its folder and drop it on specified BAT file which has its corresponding Styles and Project Root. 

    Note This will take few seconds to generate isometric drawings.
