Briefcase mode is an unofficial term that refers to the state in which a drawing is accessed using Drawing Access Mode. Opening a drawing using a configuration rather than a project is considered "Briefcase mode".
Briefcase mode simply allows users to open and edit a drawing apart from the project while retaining intelligence. Simply copy the DWG to a local machine that does not have access to the project. When opening the drawing in AutoPLANT Piping, the user will be prompted to open it in a project or configuration. Open it in a configuration with the appropriate units.
There are several factors that substantially affect performance:
Bentley Navigator is the recommended software to use with AutoPLANT Piping models. Using this tool with the application Imodel Composer, there is the ability to publish to a single file with intelligence for client review.
