How to place Lapped flange one side and fixed flange other side for Lined Pipe

Background

Some project may have requirement in Lined Pipe Module to show fixed flange on one side (FLL) and Lapped joint flange on another side (LPL) of Pipe.

This article explains how to place Lapped flange one side and fixed flange other side for Lined Pipe.

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Define End Condition 2 ‘FLL’ in desired spec. Refer following screenshot where modified out of box Metric spec Mrsf, and added the End Condition 2 “FLL”.



  2. Modify ‘PORTS.INI’ file.
    Note: PORTS.INI file can be modified on project level if user want to apply settings on project level.

    Following setting will be applicable for all projects.
    1. Go to following path,C:\Program Files (x86) \Bentley\Modules\LinePipe



    2. Open PORTS.INI file in notepad. And search for ‘PipePorts’.
      Modify Port2.EC = END_COND_2



    3. Save file.

  3. Open AutoPLANT Modeler place Line pipe using Mrsf spec and review End condition.
