    Overview

In general, if a user needs to view an AutoPLANT model on a machine without AutoPLANT, they are directed to download our Object Enablers free from our Select Services site. There are several cases in which AutoPLANT users may require AutoPLANT objects to be converted into a format accepted by AutoCAD, without need of Object Enablers.  Occasionally, models need to be reviewed by those who only own older versions of AutoCAD, versions that current Object Enablers may not support.  The steps below present the options in AutoPLANT to convert Piping objects to ACIS shapes.

    1. While in the Model with Piping loaded, go to Piping>Piping Tools>Representations
    2. The following dialog will ensue

    3. In the AutoCAD entities you will see the option for ACIS.  Add the name of the layer you want your ACIS options to be placed on and press the ACIS button.

The objects are now created seperate from the AutoPLANT objects on your desiganted layer and without intelligence.  Turn off the AutoPLANT object layers to view the ACIS objects.
