Overview

Sometimes, when working on a viewport in AutoPLANT, then dimensions may appear to be incorrect.  For example, there may be a 5 foot pipe line that only measures 1-1/2 inches.  The reason why this happens is two variables in AutoCAD are not set correctly for it to dimension AutoPLANT objects correctly.  There are two ways that these variables can be fixed.  The first would be to simply set the required value for each variable by using the commands.  The second would be to set these variables in their graphical location in AutoCAD.

Fixing Using Commands

A fast way of fixing this would be to use the two following commands and setting the values accordingly.

Fixing Using Graphical Location

This section is for those who wish to know the location of these options and what to set them to there.  The DIMLFAC is located under the Dimension Style that is currently being used.  Once in the Dimension Style, go to the "Primary Units" tab and locate the "Measurement scale".

The DIMASSOC option is located under the Options dialog in AutoCAD, which can be accessed by either right-clicking on the drawing area or command line and selecting Options... or by going to Tools>Options.  On the "User Preferences" tab, there is a section called "Associative Dimensioning".  This is the check box that controls this value.  It is it checked, then the value is set to 2.  If it is not, then it is set to either 1 or 0.
