    Overview

When generating an Iso drawing from AutoPLANT Piping model the error "Plotfile-Prefix must have trailing path delimiter" appears in the Export Progress dialoge and an Isogen DWG or DXF is not created.

    Problem Description

The "Plotfile-Prefix must have trailing path delimiter" error is caused because the backslash "\" delimiter was dropped from the PLOTFILE-PREFIX path record in the isogen.fls file. To correct the error a backslash "\" needs to be added to the end of the PLOTFILE-PREFIX record.

    Solution

Use the following steps using the SAMPLE_IMPERIAL project and Final Style as an example to correct the error.

    1. Go to folder C:\Bentley Plant XM Projects\SAMPLE_IMPERIAL\Config\isogen\final
    2. Open the file isogen.fls
    3.  Add a backslash "\" to the end of the PLOTFILE-PREFIX entry the record should look like the following;  Please not the "\" at the end of the line.
      1. Incorrect
           PLOTFILE-PREFIX C:\Bentley Plant XM Projects\SAMPLE_IMPERIAL\Config\Isogen\FINAL\DRAWINGS
      2. Correct
          PLOTFILE-PREFIX C:\Bentley Plant XM Projects\SAMPLE_IMPERIAL\Config\Isogen\FINAL\DRAWINGS\
        • After adding the backslash save and close the file. Isogen will run and a drawing will be produced.

Please note that the project and style folder may change depending on the project and style in use.
