Locked Layers And Drawing Flattener [TN]

    Document Information

    Document Type: TechNote

    Product(s): Drawing Flattener

    Version(s): 08.09.02.02, 08.09.03.30, 08.11.05.36

Original Author: Bentley Plant Technical Support Group; Richard DeLong

    Overview

When running Flattener, if the current layer is locked, flattener will not flatten the drawing. It will run, but place nothing from model space into the flattened drawing. This applies to all versions of Drawing Flattener, be it XM or V8i.

    Solution

To fix this issue, make sure that the current layer is not locked. It usually is a good idea to use the 0 layer as your current layer and leave it unlocked, since most AutoPLANT programs don't typically write to the 0 layer.
