Overview
In a default installation of AutoPLANT, Flattener will run with the latest version of AutoCAD that is installed. But, if a user has multiple versions of AutoCAD installed, there is a way to tell Flattener which one to use.
In order to run Drawing Flattener with different AutoCADs, one first has to right-click on the icon and go to the Properties option. In the Properties dialog, there is a text field called "Target: ". In that text field should be the path to Drawing Flattener's executable file or the APFlattener.exe. In order to get Drawing Flattener to load with a different AutoCAD, just put /ACAD20XX at the end of this line without quotes. For example, if a user was running V8i with AutoCAD 2008 and 2009 installed. Flattener would normally run with AutoCAD 2009. If they wanted it to load up with AutoCAD 2008, all they would need to do is make the "Target: " text field contain the following -
"C:\Program Files\Bentley\Plant V8i\Bin\APFlattener.exe" /ACAD2008
Now, if the user wants to go back to 2009, they will need to put in the /ACAD2009 because Flattener will keep using the last set AutoCAD if the /ACAD20XX is removed.
In later version of AutoPLANT the AutoCAD version is controlled via the registry. Use the following to update the version of atuocad being used to the current version:
