    OpenPlant Isometrics Manager v8i

Generate intelligent isometrics from multiple sources

Piping isometric drawings are among the most important deliverables from plant designs. Bentley OpenPlant Isometrics Manager V8i is the first software to independently create intelligent isometric information from any iRING-compatible 3D model, while working in real time with the same model as the rest of the project team.

    Product Data Sheet

Many styles of isometrics can be produced from OpenPlant Isometrics Manager V8i, each with their own set of rules for design status and layout. Isometrics can be produced based on a design state of the components as set in OpenPlant Modeler V8i, such as Issued for Construction. Rules can be defined to control what types of isometric drawings can be created if the components are in a predetermined design state. Time spent checking and reviewing isometrics is now focused on the proper documents where the status is known.

OpenPlant Isometrics Manager V8i is connected to ProjectWise V8i, which provides for the posting of finalized isometrics into the document repository. If a previous version of that isometric exists, it will automatically create a new version, leaving the old version intact for possible future review.

Automatic version control and global distribution: Utilizing ProjectWise as the document store, isometric drawings can be posted directly into the document repository with automatic version control. Team members, regardless of location, can access the most current versions of design documents.

Independent isometrics production: OpenPlant Isometrics Manager V8i is a stand-alone application. Users can generate isometric drawings easily via OpenPlant Isometrics Manager’s simplified interface without the need to use a design application's heavy footprint or more complex interface.

Real-time isometric production from multiple systems: Isometrics can be created from diverse sources, such as OpenPlant Modeler and AutoPLANT. This allows designers the freedom to work in the design application of their choice, while lowering the cost of having to support expensive design seats in order to produce quality isometric drawings.

New User Interface:The OpenPlant Isometrics Manager V8i SELECTseries 5 user interface makes it significantly easier to custom configure isometrics.

      Hello Richard,

You can refer below wiki to add custom attribute in property PURCH_SPEC to get the leading characters after decimal. Check Below wikis:

      wiki - communities.bentley.com/.../21565.how-to-change-the-precision-level-of-dimensions-on-components

      wiki- communities.bentley.com/.../17260.how-to-round-off-values-after-decimal-for-support-co-ordinates

If still some issue then attach spec and images to analyse it further.

      -Regards | Rahul Kumar

Truncated zeroes in purchase spec in BOM on isometrics

When I extract a drawing in Iso Manager, it adds a bill of materials which includes a purchase spec for some items. We set this up in the report.def file with a simple line saying "COLUMN = 16: C : PURCH_SPEC". The program sees this item as a number string so when our purchase spec ends in any number of zeroes, the program truncates the numbers, as in 72.2200 becomes 77.22. We can adjust the purchase spec to any number of digits by adding a number after the C in our report.def, such as "COLUMN = 16: C4 : PURCH_SPEC" so it uses four digits after the period. However, this makes items with no specific purchase spec number list as 0.0000 and we'd rather have that item left blank. I've also used an * instead of a number. This will make the purchase spec come out with any number of digits but it still truncates the 00 off the end.

Is there a recommended setting or a way of making the purchase spec in this case not truncate the zeroes from the number but also not post the numbers as all zeroes when no purchase spec is found?
