The variable “OPM_OPMS_DISABLE_PORT_VALIDATION_REPORTING” when set to the 1, OpenPlant ModelServer stops checking and giving warning messages if any invalid port is found during Check Out or Check In operations. If it is set to 0, the OPMS checks for invalid ports during Check Out and Check In operations and shows up warning messages if any Invalid Port is found.
The variable “OPM_OPMS_PORT_VALIDATION_STRICT” is read by the program only if the value of the variable “OPM_OPMS_DISABLE_PORT_VALIDATION_REPORTING” is set to 0.
Assuming that value of “OPM_OPMS_DISABLE_PORT_VALIDATION_REPORTING” is set to 0, when the value of the variable “OPM_OPMS_PORT_VALIDATION_STRICT” is set to 0, the program will show warning messages if it encounters Invalid Ports during check Out operations but will allow the user to continue with Check Out and Check In operations.
Assuming that value of “OPM_OPMS_DISABLE_PORT_VALIDATION_REPORTING” is set to 0, when the value of the variable “OPM_OPMS_PORT_VALIDATION_STRICT” is set to 1, the program will not allow the user to complete the Check Out or Check In operations if any Invalid Port is detected.
