    How to Create a Briefcase Mode Drawing File in AutoPLANT Modeler

    Background

    AutoPLANT Modeler application provide an additional briefcase mode option. Briefcase drawings are associated with configurations instead of projects. This mode consolidates all the of the data in the drawing file.

    It does not require a project, knowledge of database or any other extra information. Drawing created in a project may be saved as briefcase drawings, and briefcase drawings may be added to a project.

    This wiki article describes steps on  how to create Briefcase Mode Drawing file in AutoPLANT Modeler.

    Steps to Accomplish

    1. Click on Bentley Plant V8i icon present on Desktop

    2.Click on AutoPLANT Modeler for AutoCAD 

    3.Go to AutoPLANT Modeler and click on Drawing Access Mode

    4.Open an AutoPLANT drawing that belongs to a project.

    5.Load the Piping Module

    6.Drawing access Mode dialog will pop up and select configuration option to convert the drawing file into Briefcase Mode

    7.Select the user configuration Project as per your requirement (here we have selected the Sample Imperial Configuration)

    8.It will start converting the Drawing file into Briefcase Mode
