BRCM tools are now organized into eight tabs; each one focused on different workflow steps. Each section contains only tools required to complete the workflow. The goal of this enhancement was to increase user’s productivity by focusing only on tools relevant to a specific workflow.
In line with the MicroStation CONNECT configuration system, BRCM is now taking advantage of the workspace> workset configuration system.
After cables are routed through raceways, Create 3D Cable option can be used to visualize cables inside a raceway system. Visualized cables cannot be edited.
Cable bend radius is the same as cable tray bend radius, and the default option cannot be changed at this time. Additional enhancements (making sure that cable maximum bend radius is smaller than cable tray bend radius) are work in progress.
Users can now convert aches, circles and other complex shapes into a raceway system. In previous versions, BRCM could only convert straight lines into a raceway. Standard Raceway generator function is used to convert any shape into a raceway.
Users can now take advantage of Clash Detection module at no additional charge. Clash detection tools are available from Modeling>Analyze or Drawing>Analyze menus.
BRCM can now be configured to work in a Citrix environment.
