How To Perform Exchange Operation in OpenPlant Specification Generator

Background

User wants to convert AutoPlant catalog to OpenPlant Catalog, using converted catalog user can create specs. 

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Launch OpenPlant Specification Generator from OpenPlant Project Administrator or Desktop Icon.



  2. Select the desired WorkSet.



  3. Click on Tools tab and click on Exchange option to see an exchange dialog.



  4. In Exchange window, click on NEW and define a definition name let’s say AP to OP. Enter the source name which CATALOG needs to be selected and in Target where converted catalog needs to saved.





  5. After selecting Source and target path click on Add button and Create generic Query and in the next window search for Piping Component and hit OK.





  6. From top right-hand pane, click on Execute.



  7. Exchange process will start, upon finish inspect the converted mdb.



  8. After completion of exchange process, to verify results open the both the catalogs and look for class name.

    NOTE: In AutoPlant Catalog, we can see the CLASS_NAME as AT_CLASSNAME and in OPENPLANT just CLASSNAME.
