In OpenPlant Modeler CONNECT Edition, requirement is to Add property in the class using OpenPlant Project Administrator CONNECT Edition.

Background

In OpenPlant Project Administrator CE, new tool has been introduced for creation of new desired Property in the desired Class Name via OpenPlant Project Administrator CE. This Wiki shows the procedure for the same with two Cases.

Steps to Accomplish

1. Launch OpenPlant Project Administrator CONNECT Edition.
   
   
   
   
2. Select the desired workset & launch Schema Editor from Settings as shown
   
   
   
   
   
3. Select any desired Class to Add Property in it. Following are the two cases explained for Different Classes.
   

   CASE – 1 - Add Property on Equipment Class
   
                 a. From Schema Configuration dialogue select Schema_3D & select Equipment class as shown
   
                     
   
                   b. Click on Properties & hit Add as shown
   
                     
   
                    c. Add the desired Property Name & hit OK as shown
   
                      
   
                    d. Property are available in list, click on Save
   
                      
   
                    e. Launch OpenPlant Modeler, place an Equipment & check Properties as shown
   
                      
   
                      As shown, Property SUPPORT_TYPE is visible in OPM.
   
   

   CASE – 2 - Add Property on Pipe Class
                
                     a. From Schema Configuration dialogue select Schema_3D & select Pipe class as shown
   
                      
   
                   b. Click on Properties & hit Add as shown
   
                     
   
                   c. Property are available in list, click on Save
   
                     
   
                   d. Add the desired Property Name & hit OK as shown
   
                    
   
   

   Thus, above Two cases shows that how to Add Property to the Class via OpenPlant Project Administrator.
