How to create a Managed WorkSet from a Custom Template

Background

user may want to create a Managed WorkSet from a custom template. This wiki provides the exact steps to accomplish this requirement.

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Launch OpenPlant Project Administrator CONNECT Edition.



  2. Select the WorkSpace in which new WorkSet needs to be created.



  3. From the WorkSet group select Custom Create.



  4. The WorkSet Creation dialog will open.



  5. Provide WorkSet name and relevant description.



  6. Select the template from Configuration, WorkSpace and WorkSet. Click Next.



  7. Select the directory where WorkSet needs to be created. Accept default location and click Create.



  8. Click Finish to complete the WorkSet Creation.



  9. The created WorkSet can be viewed in left pane.



  10. Right-click on the WorkSet and select Collaborate.



  11. The OpenPlant ProjectWise Work Area wizard opens. Click Next.



  12. Enter the Datasource name, user name and password. Select login.



  13. Successful login message will appear. Click OK.



  14. Once done, select Configuration for the WorkSet. Click Next.



  15. The Working paths will be displayed, keep them default. Click Next.



  16. Keep settings default and select Collaborate.



  17. This will begin creation of Managed WorkSpace.



  18. Once done, click Finish.



  19. The newly created Managed WorkSet can be seen.
