    How to Validate Active Dataset

Product(s): Bentley Raceway and Cable Management
    Version(s): 10.04.00.31
    Environment: N/A
    Area: BRCM Dataset
    Subarea: Validate Dataset tool

    Background

Sometimes while working on a project if any DGN file has some components which do not belong to the active dataset of the project, you will be not able to use some tools for those components such as:

    1. Connecting to Raceways
    2. Modifying and resizing Raceways
    3. Checking Raceway or Equipment Properties
    4. Raceway settings tool
    5. Raceway IDs tool

To use these tools you need to replace those components with components from the active dataset.

Bentley Raceway and Cable Management has a tool ‘Validate Active Dataset’ which will check if any components do not belong to the active dataset.

    Steps To Accomplish

    1. Open the BRCM project and DGN file.
Navigate to the Manage ribbon tab and click on Validate Active Dataset.

    2. The application will start processing and look for any components that do not belong to the active dataset.
If all elements belong to the active dataset then you will see the below message in the Message Center.

    3. If any elements do not belong to the active dataset then the application will highlight those elements and you will see a message in the Message Center like this:
