How to Customize Level Assignments Overwrites for Different Raceway Systems in 2D Extraction

Product(s): Bentley Raceway & Cable Management
      Version(s): CONNECT Edition (10.04.00.31)
      Environment: N/A
      Area: Drawing generation
      Subarea: N/A
      Orignal Author: Aadarsh Tale

    Background

Bentley Raceway and Cable Management has a default level assigned for all the 2D extractions, but you can also assign levels to different raceway systems and their catalogs by using the Options dialog.

You can create custom overwrites to assign different levels and colors to the 2D extraction of the 3D designs and with the help of Level Display tool you can control the display of specific 2D raceways within the entire extraction.

    Steps to Accomplish

    1. Launch Bentley Raceway and Cable Management. Select a WorkSpace and WorkSet and open a 2D Extraction design file.

    2. Select the Options tool in Manage tab and Project Setup ribbons group.

    3. Select the 2D Extraction and then select the tab Level Assignment.

Note: E-RACEWAY_2D is the default level value and is the current level for all the 2D Extraction of Raceways.

    4. Click Add to create an overwrite for the raceway 2D Extraction.

    5. Select the CAD Standards and then click the Levels tab.
Then, click the Add button and enter the level Description and level Name as required.
      For example: E-RACEWAY_2D_TRAY.

    6. Type Tray in the Name field and select E-RACEWAY_2D_TRAY from the Level list.

    7. Click Browse in the Raceway System field and Select Cable Tray from the System list and <none> from the Catalog list.

    8. Click OK.

    9. You can also set Overwrites to a specific System, Catalog and Variant by repeating the above steps and specifying values for the system, catalog, and variant.

    10. You can also add many overwrites for different raceway systems.
Now click Apply to save and then click OK.

    11. You can see the different level assignments to the raceway systems that were defined in the Overwrites.
