How to View Markups in OpenPlant Modeler CONNECT Edition

Background

In Bentley Navigator if OpenPlant Modeler document which is in dgn format can be viewed and markup can be created eventually gets saved in .overlay.dgn format. In this wiki all the markups created in  .overlay.dgn in Navigator can be viewed and rectified in OpenPlant Modeler CE. 

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Launch OpenPlant Modeler Connect Edition.



    And launch file in the format of .overlay.dgn e.g Test-OPM-3D-PLANT.overlay.dgn
     
  2. When Test-OPM-3D-PLANT.overlay.dgn is launched it can be seen that blue Icon (Model) gets reflected as shown below.
     


  3. All the Markup created can be viewed in Models aswell. In Navigator Clash Detection was done for Piping and then markup was done which highlighted in yellow.



  4. Markup can be viewed mainly through going to Analyze tab and in Markups.



  5. Markups dialog box gets launched which consist of all the markup created in Navigator.
     


  6. In Marks up select All Markups which will help to display all the markups done , in progress and completed.



  7. Rightclick on Clash11_Test-Clashes 1 in Name in Markups and select View. It can be observed that Markup Preview -Clash11_Test-Clashes 1 dialog box consist of exact clash gets launched-C which consist of all comments and simultaneously the model highlights the clash in dgn-D and it can achieved through below steps.



  8. Clicking on Preview launches exact clash with all details with different window by following below procedure.
     


  9. For Viewing details of Piping lines getting crashed we can go to properties for the respective clash and can be viewed in details in properties as highlighted below.



  10. In Markups dialog box, Comments icon helps in getting details for the commented part for the clash. Similarly if the mark up is modified or completed can be inserted by user or modeler as shown below.l



    To browse for markupsheet files, Click on Markup Setting which will launch its dialog box in it path for the markup sheet can selected as shown below.



    Search Paths : Displays the directory path in which to search for the markup sheet files. Drop-down menu offers the options:

    Configured Path (MS_MARKUPPATH) — Use the configuration variable MS_MARKUPPATH to set the directory path.

    Configured Path (MS_MARKUPPATH) + Selected Paths — Set the MS_MARKUPPATH configuration variable as well as select multiple local locations in which to search for markups.

    Selected Paths — Select multiple local locations in which to search for markups. Browse for Markups : Available when Markups Search Path is set to either Configured Path (MS_MARKUPPATH) + Selected Paths or Selected Paths) Opens the Browse For Folder dialog which prompts you to select the directory in which to search for the markups.
     

  11. Markup toolbox contains a tool to open the Markups dialog. Open the Markups dialog, which is used to view the markups stored in a model.

    All tools in a toolbox are not always visible by default. To see all tools, right-click in the toolbox and select Show All from the menu

     

  12. Mark ups dialog box can also be launched through Key-in: DIALOG TOOLBOX MARKUP
