In AutoPLANT Modeler, user wants to use Machine Bolts instead of Stud Bolts for their project.

1.Open the catalog with MS Access.
2. Go to the Bolt table, right click and select Design view
3.In order to make a difference to the Stud Bolt and Machine Bolt, add a field ‘MACHINED’ to the bolt table in all catalogs and also add Datatype: Numeric Double precision.
4.Open Specification Generator and select the Project
5.Go to Catalog and click on Catalog editor
6.Select the Catalog
7.Now select BOLT Table for editing
8.Click on Build filter to filter the field
9.Select the fields as per requirement (here we have selected Main Size and RATING)
10.Copy the record for Stud Bolts
11.Paste the record in the below section
12.Change the Short description to MACHINE BOLT
13.Similarly change the Long description to MACHINE BOLT
14.Define the MACHINED Field value to 1 for Machine Bolt
15.Go to Catalog and click on Build Catalog option
16.Now create the Specs using this catalog
17.While placing the flange in AutoPLANT Modeler the component information dialog will show the Machine Bolt for the placement.
