How to add facing property on the nozzle of the equipment in OpenPlant Modeler CONNECT Edition.

Background

In OpenPlant Modeler CE, the requirement is to add the Facing property of nozzle. This wiki article explains the procedure of how to do achieve the same requirement. By default, there is no such property available in operating conditions category as shown



Notice that there is no such property available as Facing when we see properties of nozzle.

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Launch Bentley Class Editor CONNECT Edition.



  2. For the desired workset location, Select OpenPlant_3D.01.08 schema & click on Open to load the schema. Supplement the loaded schema with Supplemental schemas.

  3. From the search button, search for Nozzle as shown




  4. Switch to properties & Add a new property Facing as shown



  5. Add custom attribute OpenPlant Physical Catalogue Property Map to the added property as shown



  6. Fill the details as shown



  7. Similar to step-5, Add custom attribute Category & Property display status to the property & fill the details as shown



  8. Save the schema changes as shown



  9. Relaunch the OpenPlant Modeler application & verify results.

  10. From Equipment ribbon, create any equipment as shown




  11. From Equipment > Nozzle Manager, place a Nozzle (Manhole) with below-mentioned details



  12. Select the nozzle & see the properties as shown



    Notice that the Facing property is added to the operating conditions category.
