In OpenPlant Modeler CONNECT Edition, the requirement is to move the loose fittings to the shop material in BOM via OPIM CE.

Background

In OpenPlant IM CE, a new tool has been introduced to move the loose fittings. By default, if we placed the blind flange at the end of any pipeline, the blind flange will come under field material as shown

Steps to Accomplish

1. Launch OpenPlant Modeler CONNECT Edition.
   
   
   
   
2. Select the desired workspace & workset from the interface, Place a pipe & flange arrangement with the blind flange at the end as shown
   
   
   
   
3. From pipeline manager, select pipeline, choose the required isometric style (here CHECK) & auto-generate the iso-sheet as shown
   
   
   
   
4. Again, select pipeline & generate iso as shown
   
   
   
   
5. Once done, the OpenPlant Isometric Manager interface will open. Launch style editor as shown
   
   
   
   
6. Select the style, move to spool settings & uncheck the force loose fittings to field as shown & save.
   
   
   
7. Click on start. Once done, do right-click & select show isometric as shown
   
   
   
   
8. Once the isometric is opened, check the bill of material & verify the results as below
   
   
   
   As shown, the blind flange is moved to the shop materials section from field material.
