Background
In OpenPlant Connect Edition, We generally do not have default expression for HVAC components. Let’s create an Expression to define Symbology and level. In this wiki article we shall try to achieve the same for HVAC components.
Steps to Accomplish
- Launch a Blank dgn in OpenPlant Modeler, navigate to OPModeler.dgnlib by clicking on File > Browse and navigate to C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenPlant CONNECT Edition\Configuration\Workspaces\WorkSpace\WorkSets\DEMOPS\Standards\OpenPlant\Modeler\Dgnlibs and open the file to edit for customization.
- Create a New level using Level manager and assign a temporary level name, Click on Level manager and Create new level called as TEMP and assign a color to it.
- From the top left corner change the workflow to Admin and open the element templates from the attributes ribbon.
- In Element Templates window, expand OPModeler.dgnlib and create a New Template Group as HVAC and right click on Group to create New Template as Model, Centerline and Insulation.
- Once templates are created, click on Utilities and select update templates from libraries.
- Change the workflow to OpenPlant Modeler and in Utilities tab, select Named Expression to add expression for HVAC components.
- Create click on + icon to create new expression for Model, Centerline and Insulation. Check Images below.
- Now close the Named Expression window and click on the green arrow at the left bottom corner to go back to our active dgn from OPModeler.dgnlib file.
