Background

In OpenPlant Modeler CONNECT Edition, there is a possibility to place Section Views and Callouts to identify a section view on a Sheet Model and to define detail information of the component.

Steps to Accomplish

1. Open your model in OpenPlant Modeler and set View Rotation from which you would like to place Section Callout.
   
   
   
   
2. Let Say top view and set the model in top view.
   
   
   
   
3. From the Annotate tab, pick on Section call out and drag the from bottom to top   to view the valve as shown below.
   
   
   
   
   
   
4. Once reset the section a dialog will open where we can give the section name and if OpenModel option is checked on, it will open the sheet view .
   
   Note: If the Create Drawing check box is turned on, the Create Drawing dialog opens for creating a saved view and automating dynamic views.
   
   
   
   
   
5. Once the sheet view is opened, zoom in to sheet to view the section
   
   
   
   
6. In the view group tab at the bottom, select the default and we can then see the section in out 3D model as well.
   
   
   
   
   
   
7. Now zoom in to Section1 we created, and we shall define the name of the callout. Navigate to annotate tab and pick on detail callout, click on Circle from highlighted options.
