How to Point Custom WorkSpace Location in OpenPlant PID SS10

Background

By default, workspace root points to the default location of OpenPlant PID v8i workspace which is C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenPlantPID (SS10)\WorkSpace. Generally user save OpenPlant PID v8i workspace on custom location. This article will explain the steps required to point custom Workspace location.

Steps To Accomplish

Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\OpenPlantPID (SS10)\OpenPlantPID\config folder
Right click & Open msdir.cfg file in Notepad ++.
Change the path for _USTN_INSTALLED_WORKSPACEROOT variable
_USTN_INSTALLED_WORKSPACEROOT={custom location}
Save the changes and again launch OpenPlant PID v8i. It will read the workspace from Custom Location.
