Background

In OpenPlant Modeler, User has a spec that contain different entries for a specified nominal diameter. Notice that in below images, different outside diameter records for same nominal diameter size. Also, Manufacturer records have uniqueness.



Upon placement of pipe bend pipe arrangement, by default application picks the first row record from spec.





In this wiki article, we will explore the possibilities to control the placement of bend (fitting element) from desired row record.

Steps to Accomplish

1. Open OpenPlant Modeler CONNECT Edition.
   
   
   
   
2. From Backstage options, Follow the steps as shown below.
   
   
   
   
3. Add New Configuration Variables as OPM_CUSTOM_AUTO_FIT_FILTER_PROPS=OUTSIDE_DIAMETER;MANUFACTURER.
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
4. Relaunch OpenPlant Modeler CONNECT Edition.
   
   
5. Place pipe with desired row, here selected the fourth row record for placement where manufacturer and outside diameter varies from list of records.
   
   
   
   
   
   
6. Verify the records for outside diameter and manufacturer for pipe and pipe bend.
