We are pleased to announce that, OpenPLANT Modeler CONNECT Edition Update 10 is now having ProStructures as add in. ProStructures Modeling tools are now available in OpenPlant Modeler as default Structural tools. OPM users now able to take advantage of using ProStructures either partial or full depending upon the use or requirement on top of license they are owning.
In Structural Tab a new switch "ProStructures" is added. Along with this, two Ribbon Groups, Placement and Structural Objects are added. Placement group is having all the common placement tools like Structural Shapes, User Shapes, Plates and some Concrete placement tools. On the other hand, Structural objects will allow to place Stair, Handrail, Ladder etc. but these tools need to activate ProStructures License.Please note, all the Placement tools can be used freely, but to use the Structural Object, user need to Activate ProStructures.
As mentioned above, except the Placement tools, all other tools like Structural Objects along with other functionalities ProStructures is having can only be accessed after activating ProStructures.
How to use / Place Structural Objects?When clicked any tools under Structural Object Ribbon Group, the following message will be displayed.In this case, user has to activate the ProStructures and then can place the Object. This will also attract ProStructures License consumption. As soon as you say Activate ProStructures,
- ProStructures will be enabled with all functionalities- ProStructures License will start consuming.
How to Activate ProStructures?When clicked on the Dropdown under the ProStructures button , you can find Activate/Deactivate (if already activated) option.
When clicked on "Activate", a new Alert box will appear which will say what will be the affect on Activation.
Please note, with the Activation of ProStructures, user can run OpenPlant Modeler along with ProStructures and this will consume a seperate ProStructures license along with OpenPlant Modeler license.In addition to this, there is an additional Checkbox if user wants to continue the ProStructures to be activated in next session. By default, this checkbox is made disabled to avoid any extra license usages.
When ProStructures get Activated, a new Workflow "Structural Detailing" will appear in Workflow Dropdown with all related Structural tools and functionalities How to Deactivate ProStructures?
To Deactivate the ProStructure after use, you can follow the below steps
1. Go to OpenPlant Modeler Workflow and Click on the Dropdown of ProStructures button under Structural Tab.2. Also in Search box you can type, "Deactivate" which will then Deactivate ProStructure.
