Background

In OpenPlant Modeler, the requirement is to change the unit for Main Size in a Mixed metric environment by default it gives an inch, In this wiki article we will explore how to change the unit of the main size. This wiki article explains the procedure for it.

Steps to Accomplish

1. Launch Bentley Class Editor,
2.  For the desired workset location, select OpenPlant.01.08.ecschema01.08schema & click on Open to load the schema. Supplement the loaded schema with Supplemental schemas.

3. Navigate to PIPING_NETWORK_SYSTEM class, switch Property Tab. Refer below image
   
   
   
   
   
4. Search the Nominal Diameter property and click on the Unit. Set the Unit as MILLIMETRE as shown below. 
   
   
   
   
5. Save all the changes & verify the result in OpenPlant Modeler. 
   
   
   
   
6. Launch OpenPlant Modeler and verify the result. 
   
   
7. Navigate the standard preference and create a new pipeline as shown below. 
   
   
   Observe that Nominal Diameter is showing in MM
