How to use Roxtec Transit System for Cable Routing

Product(s): Bentley Raceway & Cable Management
      Version(s): CONNECT Edition (10.10.00.xx)
      Environment: N/A
      Area: N/A
      Subarea: N/A
      Original Author: Aadarsh Tale

    Background

Cable transit systems are modular, adaptable sealing and passive fire protection solutions. They are used to create a gas, smoke, water and blast-resistant seal around cables as they pass through openings in walls, floors, bulkheads or decks.

In this document you will find the workflow to use the Roxtec Transit Systems in Bentley Raceway and Cable Management.

    Steps to Accomplish

    1. Open Raceway file and open Raceway Router.

    2. Select Transits from the System.

    3. Select Catalog, for example: Roxtec Transit Frame CF.

    4. Select a Variant from the drop down menu.

    5. Now go to IDSettings and assign IDs to the transits.

Note: You can assign separate IDs to the transits as required.

    6. Start routing the Transits by giving a data point at the desired location.

    7. Transits are placed with their respective IDs.

    8. Now select Generate Routing Lines to connect the raceways with the transits.

    9. Select the raceway to connect to the transits.
Repeat the same for the raceway on the other side of the wall.

Note: You can select the transits one by one or multiple by holding CTRL+Data.

    10. Now open Routing model and open Cable Manager.

    11. Select Auto Route to automatically route the cables.

    12. Create 3D cables, save and close the Cable Manager.

    13. 3D cable will pass through the transits as shown in the image below:

    14. Output reports for transits is also available, you can preview/export them for your use.
