New and Changed in OpenPlant Modeler CONNECT Edition Update 9

The following items summarize the new features and enhancements in the OpenPlant Modeler CONNECT Edition Update 9 release.

Feature	Description
iTwin Workflows	Ability to attach models directly from iModel in connected projects. New one way sync mode option to keep data in dgn files but provide ability to push data into iModel. This setting can be applied at WorkSet level.
PlantSight Integration Workflow Updates	Example Data Extensibility electron app now provided to show how data can be synced from external databases and iModel in PlantSight projects. Ability to reference out other discipline data through volume based reference out operations.
Modelling Updates	Property Categorizations updated in schemas to provide a more consistent outlook as compare to previous versions. Ability to change the symbology of several OpenPlant classes by common properties using Display Rules. Functionality has been added to place '40 degree Pipe Elbow'. Functionality has been added to create Plant Areas by using text file. Centerline Projection option has been added for V8i models. Centerline projection option has been added for MicroStation mode. The Field Length property display label has been changed to 'Field Fit Makeup' for Weld. OpenPlant Modeler and OpenPlant Isometrics Manager are installing Access DB Engine 2016 version wherever applicable.
Enhanced Sample Delivered WorkSpaces and WorkSets	Updated tagging conventions to include Plant Area with few components. Implemented prefix in piping and HVAC layers in Sample WorkSets. Aligned color tables across OpenPlant PID and OpenPlant Modeler seed files as used by MicroStation. Included realistic CS150 and CS300 piping specification in place of A1-OPM and B1-OPM Sample specs. Renamed EX-OPM to Example spec. Added Mixed Metric workset in delivered workspace. Added additional reports for OpenPlant PID and OpenPlant Modeler. Addition of Named expressions for HVAC components in OOTB similar to that of piping components.
Victaulic Catalog Updates	Updated Victaulic Catalog and Spec. Updated graphics for mechanical clamped Tees in OpenPlant Modeler. Updated Victaulic joints to have better check on materials and coupling types.
Unified KKS WorkSpace implementation	KKS workset is created for Update 9 release. However it will be delivered separately on software downloads after Update 9 commercial release.
AutoPlant Models import functionality (Technology Preview)	Ability to import AutoPLANT models synced into iModel and convert them to OpenPlant format for editing

Technology Preview features are:

currently unsupported
may not be functionally complete
not suitable for use/deployment in production

However, these features are provided to you as a courtesy and the primary goal is for the feature to gain wider exposure with the goal of full support in the future.

You may find these features useful in a non-production environment. You are welcome to provide feedback and functionality suggestions for a Technology Preview feature before it becomes fully supported. Bentley Systems intends to fully support Technology Preview features in a future release, at which time the features will no longer be identified as Technology Preview features.
