In OpenPlant Modeler, to create a custom component using different facing instead of default Raised/Flat Face facings.

Background

While creating a Custom Piping Component in OpenPlant Modeler, possible selections in Connect Points Facing list are only FLAT_FACE and RAISED_FACE.

Steps to resolve

Required Facing value can by manually entered by typing it with keyboard. It will be set to that value, recognized and evaluated later when connecting other components to it. But you need to be sure, that same Facings exists in your FACING_VALUE_MAP class and in required specification.

  1. Open OpenPlant_Catalogue_Supplemental_Mapping_Modeling schema, then FACING_VALUE_MAP class and in Properties section check possible Facings.

  2. Then check your specification for required data and create your custom component with required Facing value.

  3. Test your component and verify the results
