Background

When there are multiple users working on the same project and working locally (File Based Mode without ProjectWise) then there is a need to put the workspace on a shared drive that can be accessed by all the engineers. An administrator needs to make sure that all the users can get access of all the files which need to run application for that particular project. In order to do that in Update 11, you have to set up within OPM the configuration which point to the configuration root.

Steps to Accomplish

1. Launch OpenPlant Modeler Update 11 and click on Manage Configuration
   
   
   
   
2. The Manage Configurations dialog will open, click on the "Add" button
   
   
   
3. Fill in the Configuration Name, Description, and set the Type to "Network/Shared Drive", click on "Browse" and find the ShareFile configuration folder.
   
   
   
4. Find the ShareFile configuration folder and click on "Select Folder"
   
   
   
5. The new configuration root will be added in the list, click OK.
