Background

In many situations, the user requires access to the created isometric's pipeline continuation. The most recent version displays the information accurately, but the prior version displayed several errors while conducting an action. The steps to complete it are listed below.

Note: The user workset needs to be linked to the PlantSight Project for this to work.

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Launch OpenPlant Modeler in open new .dgn file.

  2. Place one pipeline of nominal size 3-inch using default pipe specification (Example) and joint one weldneck flange on one of the pipes ends as shown in the fig.

  3. Perform check-in to PlantSight.

  4. After check-in the OPM environment will get blank means, it has connected with PlantSight. After this Click on Explorer and go to that pipeline to Reference out. (Right click on that pipeline and choose option Reference out).

  5. Create a new pipeline with mating component such as flange and form the connection with bolt and gasket.

  6. Then Click on Clear reference as stated in image below.

  7. After clear reference click on check-in all and observed that all the model is getting blank.

  8. Now from Explorer Check-out both the pipeline as you did this the pipeline visible to you.

  9. Run the connectivity checker to see for any disconnection.

  10. The last step is to generate the isometric for both the pipeline and observed that there is a continuation of the pipeline.

Select both the pipeline and select IFC as isometric style and generate isometric.

  11. To verify the result, generate the isometric observed that there isa continuation of the pipeline.
