How To Place Parametric Supports on Raceways

Background

You must have a ceiling or floor aligned with the raceway to place the Parametric Supports.
Follow these steps to place Parametric Supports with raceway:

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Select   Parametric Supports from the Supports toolbar.
    The Parametric Supports dialog box appears.


  2. Select the desired support from the drop-down list.


  3. (Optional) Edit the values of different properties in the Equipment Properties tab.

  4. Do any one of the following:

Single Place method:

a. Select Single Place option.

b. The Raceway Manage Equipment dialog box appears.

Note: You can define the Angle of the support.

c. Select Cursor Position button to place the support at the cursor point.

    or,

    Click the desired point on the raceway you want to place the support.

Multi Place method:

a. Select Multi Place option.

b. The Support Spacing Configuration dialog box appears.


c. (Optional) Edit the values in the Spacings tab and click "OK".

d. (Optional) Toggle the "Using segment place" checkbox to place the support along a raceway segment.

    Toggle off the "Connect to ceiling" checkbox if you wish to connect the supports with floor.

e. Select the raceway you want to place support.

f. Follow the prompts from the Message Center like select the direction of the support, accept raceway, etc.

g. The raceway placement dialog displays.

The support is placed along the raceway.
