Background

There are some cases where the user needs to hide pipe supports in generated isometrics according to their requirement or work standard. To be able to perform this method, it is recommended to use or modify overrides.txt file which allows to set a rule to achieve appropriate outcome.

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Open overrides.txt file by following the correct folder location.
Note: Use required workspace and workset.
  2. Create a rule by applying these values.
  3. Save and close overrides.txt, then generate isometrics.
  4. Observe pipe support has Level Name of Supports.
Note: By default, Level Name is Level 1.
  5. Use Level Display command and disable Supports. The pipe support symbol disappears.
  6. To hide labels, uncheck Support Tag Labels.
  7. To hide dimension, check Hide Support Dimensions.
  8. To hide Part IDs, proceed to rep_sortgroups.txt and add SKIP = 1.
  9. Generate Isometrics to verify result.
  10. In addition, pipe support details are also removed in Bill of Materials.
