Background

There are some instances where the user needs to rotate pipe supports in generated isometrics according to their requirement or work standard. To rotate a component, it can be done in Class Editor by modifying Isometric Value Map custom attribute. Furthermore, refer to the image below for the initial position of pipe support.

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Launch Bentley Class Editor.
  2. Open OpenPlant_3D.01.08.ecschema.xml and supplement with OpenPlant_3D_Supplemental_Isometrics_Isoextractor.01.08.ecschema.xml and OpenPlant_3D_Supplemental_Modeling.01.08.ecschema.xml
  3. Proceed to Shoes class. In Tee_Shoe, check the default value of Isometric Value Map.
  4. Input angle value. For example, SUPP_SHOE@90.
  5. Save and close Bentley Class Editor.
  6. Launch OpenPlant Modeler and open a piping model with Tee Shoe support.
  7. Generate isometrics to verify result. The Tee Shoe support rotated 90 degrees.
