Background

In OpenPlant PID CONNECT Edition, requirement is to set the pipeline break inside the component cell insertion points/connection points instead of the cell boundary.

Steps to Accomplish

  1. LaunchBentley Class Editor and open01.08.ecschema.xml schema, then supplement with OpenPlant_PID_Supplemental_Design.01.08.ecschema.xml
  2. Search for and select the appropriate CLASS you need. (In this example I used and changed the cell of BUTTERFLY_VALVE).
  3. Right click on the CLASS expand Custom Attributes, select Add/Remove
  4. In the Add/Remove Custom Attributes dialog box, find Schematics Component Custom Attributes, click down button to Add and move the location to OpenPlant_PID_Supplemental_Design and Click OK.
  5. Save the schema changes and launch OPPID then test placing the component.

Result if value is TRUE, Pipeline break at the connection point

Result if value is FALSE, pipeline breaks at the cell boundary
