How to add new Bend class in Radius type for Autofitting’s option in OPM

Background

As per project complexity user may need to add class to Radius type drop down for easy selection, to do add these steps are mentioned below.

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Start modeler.cfg file located at C;\ -> Program Data -> Bentley -> OpenPlant Connect edition -> Configuration -> Workspace -> Workset -> Standards -> OpenPlant -> Modeler
  2. Search for Autofitting ( Shortcut Press Ctrl +F and do search)
  3. Add New Fitting after semicolon in list as shown in image below



  4. Start AutoFittingsRules.xml file located at at C;\ -> Program Data -> Bentley -> OpenPlant Connect edition -> Configuration -> Workspace -> Workset -> Standards -> OpenPlant -> Modeler -> System
  5. Search for Bend in Piping Discipline
  6. Add new class in pipe elbow as shown below, add rule for individual angle for which bend is desired, in this case 45 and 90 degree has been taken.



    7. Start Open Plant Modeler and check for new class in Radius option for Auto fittings
