Background

In OpenPlant Isometrics Manager, Field Fit weld allowances has been needed in BOM cut list report to allow extra length of pipe to order which can be further trimmed for end preparation at site. However assigning extra length will not show up in DWG dimension, but it will report in BOM for ordering the extra length. This could be realized using OpenPlant Modeler user with OpenPlant Isometrics Manager.

Check below steps to accomplish.

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Launch OpenPlant Modeler, Select the Project WorkSpace and WorkSet.

  2. Place a Pipe with Fittings and Generate weld.

  3. Right Click on weld and select Modify Component option.

  4. From Weld tab, Enter data to Excess Length and select Type as Field Fit from drop down.

  5. Open Style.cfg File and remove # from variable WA_FIELD_FIT and enter allowances as desired. See image below.

  6. Save & Close file.

  7. Generate an isomeric and verify the results.See below results for CUT LIST report and BOM report.
