To Clean Residual Files After Uninstalling OpenPlant

Background

Unexplained errors are experienced after upgrading or changing the version of OpenPlant.
One of the cause is the residual files that may contain data that is still being processed or read by the new/updated version.

Steps to Fix

  1. Go to these location and delete the related folders:
    Program Files folder:
    C:\Program Files\Bentley\OpenPlant CONNECT Edition

    Important Note: This folder contains the files that is required to run the application. Delete only the folder of the application that you need.

    Program Data folder:
    C:\ProgramData\Bentley
    Important Note: This folder contains the files/data (e.g. Configuration files) that is being read by the application. Delete only the folder of the application that you need.


    Temporary User Files:
    C:\Users\"User.Name"\AppData\Local\Bentley
    Important Note: This folder contains the files/data specific to the user using/logged in to the machine that is being read by run the application. Delete only the folder of the application that you need.
