Background

To a PlantSight integrated OpenPlant workset, user has created process drawing & synced to PlantSight. Also, 3D components have been placed into OpenPlant Modeler with the same component details as per process drawing or P&ID drawing. In this article we will show the steps to see the same details present in OpentModeler and OpenPlnt PID.

Steps to Resolve

  1. Launch OpenPlant PID with the correct project settings and route the PID.

Note: Below is the Sample PID.

  2. Sync the PID to the PlantSight as shown in the image below.

  3. In the Differencing Dialog click on update all, to synchronize the drawing to the PlantSight.

-Validating model with PlantSight to check the dublicates tags in the model

  4. After successfully sync the data to the plantsight you can see the data under EDM section in PlantSight as shown in the image below.

  5. Launch OpenPlant Modeler. Create a new dgn file.

  6. Go to Explorer and click on PlantSight tab to fetch latest changes from PlantSight.

  7. Go to Consistency Manager and run the query for all the base classes.

  8. Find the tags under each classes and place in the modeler.

  9. Placing all the component and the pipeline click on PlantSight tab and select update all.

-In this example placing the equipment as Pump.

Note: Selecting Update All keeps the drawing in the file whereas selecting Check-in all leads to make .dgn file empty and all data pushes to plantsight.

  10. Synchronize the drawing from modeler to the PlantSight. It will synchronize all the changes from DGN.

  11. Again go to Consistency manager to observe the particular components as well as pipeline present in both the platform PID & 3D.

Also in the PlantSight we can find the component data present in which platform as shown in the image below.
