How To Create Region with and without Cutout Area around Texts

Background

In a drawing, when there is any closed shape with text within it, and the command Create Region is used with a fill type other than "None", there is an option to enable and disable a cutout area around the text.

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Launch OpenPlant PID CONNECT Edition.
  2. Draw a closed shape.
  3. Place any text inside.
  4. Select the command Create Region.
  5. Notice the button with a tooltip "Locate Interior Text". Toggle on or off as desired:
  6. Click inside the closed shape.
  7. Click anywhere on a blank part of the design to finish applying the region.
