To Resolve Error “Distance Between Gasket [Gasket][GUID No] & Adjoin Components could be more than 1

Overview

In OpenPlant Isometrics Manager, during isometrics generation it displays error as Distance between Gasket[GASKET]0df0e864-b3fb-4422-b35a-3a483aeb5c04 & adjoin components could be more than 1.5

Problem Description

In OpenPlant Isometrics Manager, when user generates an isometrics then following error prompts as shown below.

Distance between Gasket[GASKET]0df0e864-b3fb-4422-b35a-3a483aeb5c04 & adjoin components could be more than 1.5                           

Gasket[GASKET]0df0e864-b3fb-4422-b35a-3a483aeb5c04 is not connected to Knife Gate Valve[KNIFE_GATE_VALVE]c011ac15-a467-4af9-857e-9e6a008865f0 & Equal Pipe Tee[EQUAL_PIPE_TEE]062aadd4-5cfd-45a5-967a-4443f3b1a567 

          

Below steps will aid user to avoid such errors. Below example and error caused shown here using OpenPlant Modeler and OpenPlant Isometrics Manager. 

Steps to Resolve

  1. The above errors mentioned due to minimum connectivity tolerance provided in project pcf file as 1.5. The OPM_CONNECTIVITY_TOLERANCE variable defined the distance in sub units where thing are considered to be connecting. Thus if two items are within this distance and not connected or if the item are connected are more than this distance apart the connectivity checker will flag this as an error, See image below:

     

  2. To avoid the problem, increase the connectivity tolerance limit, say 4.5 here. set variable as OPM_CONNECTIVITY_TOLERANCE  =  4.5

    The variable can be found in Modeler.cfg below is the default location for Metric workset.
    C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenPlant CONNECT Edition\Configuration\WorkSpaces\OpenPlantExample\WorkSets\Metric\Standards\OpenPlant\Modeler
