To edit Saddle Support Clas

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Open the OpenPlant_3D.01.08.ecschema.xml in the class editor and supplement with the OpenPlant_3D_Supplemental_ModelingViews.01.08.ecschema.xml schema.
  2. Navigate to Support class and select support. For example Pipe Hanger
    Check custom attribute property IGNORE_PIPE_SLOPE_ON_SUPPORT. Select its value as False from drop down. For example,

    Note: Set IGNORE_PIPE_SLOPE_ON_SUPPORT= True if you want to keep the support vertical on placement and apply slope. Or delete the custom attribute.
    Note: By default IGNORE_PIPE_SLOPE_ON_SUPPORT= False for Anchors, Guides, Support Locators. These Supports are aligned with both Horizontal and vertical sloped pipes.
  3. Open a dgn in OpenPlant Modeler . Place a pipe and click on the Supports drop down button on the Piping Galleries tab. And select Hangers. Hanger Components appear in gallery.
  4. Select the desired Hanger support from the Component Gallery. Standard Preferences for Support dialog appears.
  5. Select Specification value as Supports from drop down.


  6. Click on the pipe you want to place the support.
    The Place Support dialog box appears.


  7. Select the" Location" and "Rotation" Points and click left. The support component gets placed and is aligned with pipe.
  8. Apply some slope to the pipe using Apply Slope tool. For example 5 degrees. Hanger support get aligned with both Horizontal and vertical sloped pipes.
