Background

Using Specification generator, user can filter the data based on Multiple selections which allow user to work diligently & further update the information thus help avoiding confusion and reducing errors. Below Steps describes the scenario to use the feature


Steps to Accomplish

  1. Launch Open Plant Specification Generator & select project unit.




  2. From Tools tab, launch Catalog Editor and click on open. 



  3. Open Existing file by navigating to Catalog Database folder. 


  4. From the drop down select a table to Open/Edit. Say Pipe here. Check Total Data present in table like shown in below image. 

5. To filter the data based on Multiple selection, click on and cell, Say to filter based on SHORT_DESC entry. Right Click on it and select Filter-> “Filter by Multiple Values”. See image below.



6. Select Filter items as desired. See image below.



7. See Filter items. Also check count mentioned in lower left pane. See image below.
