To Resolve Incorrect Bolt Length Issue in OpenPlant Modeler Connect Edition

Problem Description

There are multiple reasons of showing Incorrect Bolt Length. In this Example user has defined the Flanged as End Preparation for the Lug Joint in both the places shows incorrect bolt length as shown in the image below.

        

Below are the steps to resolve this kind of issue.

Steps to Resolve

  1.  Launch Bentley Class Editor

  2. Open OpenPlant_3D.01.08.ecschema an Supplement it with OpenPlant_3D_Supplemental_Modeling.01.08.ecschema & OpenPlant_3D_Supplemental_ModelingViews.01.08.ecschema.
  3. Find for Joint Class and search join type as Lug Joint shown in the image below.



  4. Remove Flange from one of the End Preparation and save all the changes.

                           

  5. Relaunch the OPM and verified the result.




    Reason: Lug Joint Contains Flange End Preparation which was defined at both the the places typically one should have at one end only
