Background

In OpenPlant Modeler, elevations are not set by default. User needs to add the corresponding coordinates in its property by modifying schemas. User may use Bentley Class editor for this. See below image on how default Elevation property displays.

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Launch Bentley Class Editor.
Note - Here v8i version has been shown as a reference. However user may use CONNECT Edition version as well.
  2. Open OpenPlant_3D.01.08.ecschema.xml schema
  3. Supplement it with OpenPlant_3D_Supplemental_Modeling.01.08.ecschema.xml schema.
  4. Navigate to PIPE class. Or you may use the search option to find/navigate to class.
  5. Look for ELEVATION Property.
  6. Right click on ‘ELEVATION’ property and click on Add/Remove option.

  7. Search for custom attribute ‘Calculated ECProperty Specification’ and fill all the details like shown in image below.

value to enter under ECExpression field - this.TRANSFORMATION_MATRIX/1000

  8. Save Schema.
  9. Launch OpenPlant Modeler
  10. Verify results. Notice Elevation Property has been filled up with correct value.
