While executing any project, user want to change their Element Templates or Named Expressions, already modeled pipelines are not automatically redrawn to represent new look. User need to manually trick OpenPlant Modeler into redrawing its old components. There are multiple commands in OpenPlant Modeler which does redraw components after them, but it is advisable to use Edit Insulation in Pipeline Manager, as it requires very little user input and does redraw all components as needed.
Note: This is only applicable to users working in a file based mode, users working with a OpenPlant ModelServer setup should not get into these kind of issues, as updated Element Template should be used on the next component check-out.
User may add a new insulation or may retain it to default setting and click OK. In both cases it redraw associated components. See below image of one example.
After component update finishes, Edit the insulation again and check on the Remove Insulation to get inside pipeline to the original state.
After these updates, pipeline should have a new Element Template applied to it, according to the changed Named Expressions. If pipeline already has some insulation, user would need to switch the order of steps 2-3, by firstly removing insulation, and then adding it back again.
There could be several occasion where user might find it useful to apply & depends case to case basis.
