I am finding that when I try to open the script editor in a node, it comes up blank?. this happens about 50% of the time. does anyone know why this happens? or is this perhaps a computer graphics problem?
Yes - I see this behaviour too. I find it is temporarily fixed by resizing the editor dialog then closing and reopening it, but it feels like a graphics problem.
There is plenty of other "sticky" behaviour on the nodes and dialogs that gets frustrating after a while.
My two biggest are;
1. When entering expressions into node inputs, focus is sometimes lost, or re-focused onto other inputs that you might want to move on to next. It seems the expression needs to be explicitly completed with an "enter". Either the update to an expression should kick in when you leave the focus of that input, or you need to hit enter to be able to leave the input at all. Being able to mouse over onto another input halfway through should not be allowed.
2. Attaching wires from one node to another is sometimes a bit hit and miss - granted this is zoom dependent, but it can sometimes be hard to get a lock on.

Robert
Hello,
You can try renaming the pref folder and check if that makes things better. Please refer the wikis
1. The Script Editor dialog freezes GC
2. Regenerating preference files to help resolve random odd behavior
You can also have a look at this forum post.
I have found that if I pin the editor to the top of the screen that it stops the editor going blank. But you have to be careful when editing other nodes that you need to pay attention to how many pages you have open in the editor and which page you are on.
